Dec. 10th, 5:00 PM: Infant Connections "Baby's 1st Foods"
We will be discussing the when and how of introducing first foods or new foods to your infant. Our very own Chef Liz will be visiting us for this fun class. She will go over some healthy food choices and great tips on what to feed your budding foodie.

Dec. 13th, 3:15 - 4:30 PM: Play in the Park & Middle Bake Sale
Meet in the backyard for a Play in the Park date with your kids.  Bring a few dollars, Middle School will be hosting a bake and lemonade sale in the gazebo.  Extended Care students are also welcome to participate.  Send some change with them and the teachers will walk them down for a snack.  Please remember, this event ends promptly at 4:30 pm.  The Extended Care classes will be waiting to use the playground.

Dec. 16th: Middle School Qtr. Conferences
A schedule will be available shortly to sign up for your Qtr. conferences. These are student-led with an appointment with the parents and Ms. Catherine.

Wed., Dec. 16-20th: Middle School Journey Week
Middle School students will start Journey Week off with conferences with parents and teachers about their work. Then they will leave for a field trip on Tuesday to the Buffalo Soldiers Museum and the Holocaust Museum. They will spend time in electives, making up work, and preparing for Winter Cultural Festival. Thursday and Friday are both school-wide noon dismissal days. 

Dec. 19th: Noon Dismissal
Today will be a Noon Dismissal as we prepare for the Winter Cultural Festival (no extended care).

Dec. 19th, 6:00 PM: Winter Cultural Festival
Join us this evening to tour around the school to enjoy the exhibits and galleries within the classrooms showcasing works and art on the countries they've been studying.  Visit any classroom first and be sure to pick up your passport to have stamped as you travel around the school.  The dining room will feature food tastings with small bites of foods from each country or place of study.  This is a wonderful evening to invite extended family and your friends to. A very beautiful and interesting night.

Dec. 20th: Noon Dismissal
Today will be a Noon Dismissal with no extended care.

Dec. 23rd - Jan. 5th: No School, Winter Break
The school will be closed for Winter Break. Enjoy the time with your family.

Jan. 6th: School Closed for Students - Professional Development Day
This will be a staff Professional Development Day and the last day of Winter Student Break.

Jan. 7th: 1st Day of the Spring Semester

The school will be closed in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday.

Jan. 25th: Glass Classroom
You will be immersed in the Montessori child’s daily school life discovering, learning and growing with the guidance of Pines teachers and staff.  This experience allows you to come to understand your child’s developmental needs, work with the classroom materials and visit all classroom environments.  Whether you are new to Montessori or an old pro, the Glass Classroom is a powerful glimpse into your child’s world of education.

Feb. 26th, Toddler/Primary 3:00, Elementary 3:15: "Come See Me Work" Day
Come see what your student has been working on.  Stop by the classroom for just a few minutes with your students so they can show you a favorite work.

April 4th, 11 AM - 1 AM: Pines Ecofair
Pines Eco-fair: Join us for free food samplings and drinks, DJ entertainment, hands-on activities, and crafts focused earth-friendly and environmental awareness education. FUN for the Whole Family!  Ms. Humaira is heading up the Ecofair and planning some fun activities for kids and adults. 

April 10th: School Closed
School will be closed in observance to the Good Friday Holiday.

April 13th: No School for Students - Staff Professional Development Day
School is closed for all students. This will be a Professional Development Day for staff.

April 17th: Family Movie Night - 8:00 PM in the Pines Backyard
Join us for a family movie night in the backyard. Bring your picnic blanket or chairs and wear your comfy clothes or PJs. Bring some snacks along to enjoy. We'll have the students vote on a few kid-friendly movie options sometime in March and will let you know the feature title then.  This is a free event, bring some friends along. Sponsorships and donations are very welcome to help cover the cost of the screen and equipment rentals.

April 20th: Classroom Gala Crafts and Art Projects are Due
The classroom Gala projects are due by the 20th if you are helping them to create a piece to enter into the live auction for our upcoming Gala event. The items will be out for early bidding a week before the Gala but for best winning tactics - plan to attend the Pines Gala on May 2nd!

May 2nd, 6 PM - 11 PM: Spring Gala
Dinner, dancing, visiting with friends, games, photos, DJ, silent auction, live auction, and loads more! Join us for the adult social event of the year here on campus. We'll have a catered dinner and drinks and decorate the campus for a fun evening under the stars. Reservations will be required and more information will be available soon.  Want to help us plan and arrange the event? Want to sponsor or provide a donation? May 4th - May 14th: Parent/Teacher Conferences
Sign Up for a time slot for your Spring Conferences at the Conference tab above. These are required meetings with the teachers where you will discuss your student's progress.

May 15th: Teacher Appreciation
Join us in a celebration of the Pines Teachers with a special potluck luncheon. Let's put out a spread for them in the Teacher's Lounge to enjoy at lunch with two shifts, some out at 11 AM and some fresh items put out at 1:00 PM (for extended care staff). May 18th: Middle School Graduation
Awe, our 8th graders are graduating today!  We remember when... Parents of Middle School students will come to enjoy the graduation ceremony and a small reception in the Middle School classroom. Very exciting!

May 20th, 6:30 PM: Upper Elementary Play
A special evening play event brought to you by Upper Elementary. The students and teachers have written, directed, planned, staged, and costumed this year's production and invite guests to attend this evening. The title and details will be available soon.

May 21st: End of Year Family Gathering
Join us in the backyard for the last Play in the Park event to enjoy some time together before some of us are off for the summer. This is always a great opportunity to catch a photo or two with friends and Teachers from the year.

May 25th: PSchool Closed for Memorial Day
Pines will be closed for the Memorial Day Holiday.

May 26th - May 29th: Infant & Toddler Classrooms Open
School is closed for a semester break for our older students. However, our Infant and Toddler Classrooms will be open this week for childcare.

May 26th - May 29th: Reduced Office Hours of 8 AM to Noon
The school's front office will only be open from 8 AM to Noon for the week.

June 1st: 1st Day of Summer Semester
This is the first day of the Summer 2020 Semester - Welcome students of all ages!
